5 Great Maternity Photoshoot Ideas For The New Mom To Be

Firstly, congratulations! We’re so happy that you’re stepping on this wonderful journey of parenthood and are already thinking about cute maternity photo shoot ideas. Believe us, it’s going to be an amazing trip and if you’re happy and keep calm, this will be the most memorable as well. 

Now, let’s tell you some interesting ideas to have an excellent maternity photoshoot, many of our mom to be group members have gone through it and have shared their experiences. We’re putting down our favorite 5. 

· Go to the Beach! Yes, you heard us right. Goa is fantastic throughout the year and definitely one of the most popular destinations for couples (whether they’re expecting or not). Pictures taken on the beach, or even at the spectacular hotels come out really nice. Make sure you carry your phone/camera properly (it may get wet) and don’t forget to click during the day or just when the sun is going down. Some silhouette images look fab! You can wear a nice swimming costume, it will be comfortable and easy to handle.

· Buy an HR Camera or a Phone, or hire a professional: These days, everyone is a familiar with cameras and camera phones, but you’ve got to take clear pictures and that only happens when you have the right equipment. Have a look at some High Megapixel cameras or get the ever so popular DSLR you’ve been wanting for so long. Another great idea is to hire a professional photographer who’s done some of these shoots earlier. They know a lot and can keep you at ease throughout the shoot.

· Buy Matching Clothes/ Twinning Clothes: One of the coolest ideas was used by one of our mom to be readers. For her maternity photo shoot, she bought twining clothes from berrytree. These were made in Organic Cotton, so were extra soft and had similar prints for mom and baby. She wore her T-shirt and held the baby’s romper in her arms when she got clicked. Super Cute and Super trendy.

· Involve your husband! Maternity shoots are not just about mom and the baby, they’re equally about the father too. Sometimes when dads get involved, they look super cute! Have your husband wear matching t-shirts or a funny t-shirt that has a cool quote. Something like ‘up-coming dad’ or ‘daddy-cool’ and have a picture clicked together. We are sure the results will be awesome, and you’ll thank us for this.

· Get your pet in the frame. This is literally the oldest trick in the book for all maternity photoshoot professionals. Pictures come out the best when there’s a furry friend involved. Dogs, Cats and sometimes birds add so much value to a family picture, its amazing! So, if you have a pet, get him/her a long and bring it to the forefront of a picture. Pets are known to be men’s best friends and the emotions come out truly in pictures.

Here’s a bonus, if its your second/third child and you want to do something out of the box, get your first born in the frame too. You can be playing with them or they are playing with you, maybe they hold your tummy and are saying something to the baby inside.
